FREEDOM FOR ALL GRANT

Purpose:

The "Freedom for All" Grant allows Aim for Success to provide the youth in our more challenged neighborhoods the opportunity to hear our message of Freedom by eliminating the burden of costs for the schools, churches and youth organizations. With the support from in-kind donations, foundations, and business partners, we are able to provide our powerful, entertaining, and educational programs to the schools, churches and youth organizations that serve low-income and at-risk youth as a majority of their population.

Aim For Success uses paid professional speakers to provide our programs. Schools and youth organizations typically do not have a problem paying our fees from their school funds or PTA funds. However, many inner city schools have no such funds. Because Aim for Success is not in a position to provide programs "free of charge", this excludes many of the inner city schools, churches and youth organizations that so desperately need to be encouraged in their efforts to break the cycle of poverty. Through the Freedom for All Grant, we are able to give them hope, the tools to maintain self-control, self-respect, and self-discipline and reduce pregnancy rates. We believe that with factual information, teens are better equipped to make healthy decisions in the daily situations in which they are challenged; therefore it is imperative that all youth have an opportunity to be taught that abstinence gives them freedom.

Financial Goals:
Our overall goal is to raise $50,000.00 and provide approximately 250 programs through the "Freedom for ALL" Grant free of charge.

Selection of Recipients:
Schools, Churches, and Youth organizations that will receive the benefits of the "Freedom for ALL" Grant will be selected through an application process. The purpose of the application process is to ensure that the programs are being provided to the groups that display a financial need and service youth that are identified as at-risk or low-income.

In order to be considered for funding, a school, church or youth organization must meet the following criteria:

• The population your school, church, or youth organization serves must be in grades 5 through 12.

• 65% or more of the students must be considered low-income or at-risk and able to provide documentation to verify.

• Must be willing to host, promote and encourage parental attendance at a parents only meeting prior to student presentations.

• Allow an anonymous, voluntary, 6-question survey to be given to the participants at the end of each program.

• Must be able to provide a suitable location for the programs to be presented like an auditorium, gym, classroom, cafeteria, etc.
